Bike Culture!!!

ree

I am a car guy. Ever since I learned the history of cars, that even the words ‘car’ and ‘horsepower’ originated from the old word ‘carriage’ that the ‘horses’ pulled on stagecoaches, I have been fascinated.

I mean, the Japanese anime Speed Racer was one of my all-time favourite cartoon shows from childhood. I thought owning a Mach 5 would be a dream come true.

But I like bikes too.

Dubai is the place where I felt like a kid in a candy shop, lol. Where else would you find a Ducati neatly parked inside a sunglasses store?

But after that Ducati, I have seen many more bikes across the world.

In due course, you realize that you have stumbled into a bike culture that is universal and exists in almost every city I travel to.

For example – Look at this dark Ducati. How can you not be reminded of the movie ‘Dark Knight’ when you see something like this in one of the many lanes of Hong Kong? I was walking and turned a corner when I found myself in this little lane of bikers.

From Honda to Ducati, from Kawasaki to Yamaha, from Triumph to BMW, from Suzuki to Harley Davidson, the pleasure is mine. And as I have mentioned before, I never miss a chance to pull out my camera and click pictures of them.

Then we have bicycles too. For example – Look at those fat tyres on this one. It looks like a bike you would ride on dunes in a desert. Or look at this sadist signboard, not allowing motorcycles.

Many have passion and we all grow old. But the idea is to grow wise while living the passion.
